R.I.P. Michael Jackson

It's been a year since Michael died and sometimes I still don't think it is real. I was just visiting another blog that i frequent and she said things that I agree with 100%, people sometimes don't get why some people loved Michael like we did, they didn't feel the impact of his gift like others did, they only choose to remember the negative, the rumors, the innuendos, the missteps, etc. But there was so much more than that. But if you don't get it that's ok too, but I am tired of having to justify and/or defend my feelings or quantifying/explaining what he meant to me . I won't try to sway you one way or another but respect my feelings. So if you don't get it, I get that, but for today only, for this post only keep your negative or contrary feelings to yourself...respect my space. I'm a product of the 80's and had a room wallpapered ceiling to floor with M.J. to me he was ALL THAT and THEN some and still is.
Now if you want to go to my '80's pic from hell post, feel free to be negative and criticize that jheri curl...

(if you're an MJ fan please follow the blog link to Door Sixteen, she put it so much better than I could)

I can't believe he's been gone a year. I always thought my kids would hear new MJ music in the future. And I always hoped that I would get the opportunity (and the money!) to see him perform live.

Regardless of his personal life, he was an extraordinary talent.

I will miss him.

Thank you for reminding me to remember this great talent who had such a difficult existence.

I also had floor to ceiling MJ posters in my childhood bedroom. His music is timeless and whenever it comes on the radio, I am completely jazzed and I turn it up!

I also just watched This is It! on HBO last week. He was such a professional and clearly worked really hard. At the same time, he was also humble and kind to everyone involved with the show. If you haevn't seen it, I highly recommend it! He also looked really normal - we've seen so many horrible pix of botched plastic surgeries, but he looked great.

I never knew what to make of the rumors and speculation about his personal life, but to me it doesn't matter. Thanks for posting this. He is missed.

I too am a die-hard MJ fan!!! I cried like a little kid at "This is it".

Did you see my new shirt? Click here:
Captain EO, baby!!!

Whenever someone would start to say something negative about him I'd make a joke and change the subject. I just couldn't hear it. He's one of my idols. The epitome of an entertainer.

I'm a die-hard fan, cried when he passed and get sad whenever I remember he's gone. I Tivo'd 20/20 last night (as I do every week) and can't wait to watch it as it was a whole hour on MJ. I also bought This Is It the day it came out and have watched it many times.
I share your feelings girlfriend and would never disrespect your site.
Thanks for the tribute.
